Second Saudi Forum for Fourth Industrial Revolution Concludes

The Second Saudi Forum for the Fourth Industrial Revolution concluded in Riyadh, organized by the Center for the Fourth Industrial Revolution at the King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology. The event welcomed several ministers and a gathering of both local and international experts in fourth industrial revolution technologies.

The Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Bandar bin Ibrahim Al-Khorayef, stressed in his speech during the forum sessions that the ministry and the industrial ecosystem in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will continue to encourage industry based on research, development and innovation, and work to find initiatives, systems and programs that contribute to attracting investors and transferring and localizing technology. He pointed out that the automotive industry sector and its renaissance during the current period is one of the examples that affirms the transformation of the industrial sector in the Kingdom.

The forum witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Center for the Fourth Industrial Revolution and the Ministry of Transport and Logistic Services to develop policies that support the use of the Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies and innovation in transport and logistics services.
