Saudi Fund for Development CEO Meets with Health, Higher Education Ministers of Benin

The CEO of the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD), Sultan Al-Marshad, and his accompanying delegation had separate meetings today with Minister of Health of the Republic of Benin Benjamin Hounkpatin and Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Eléonore Yayi Ladekan.
The two sides discussed avenues of development cooperation and the progress of SFD’s health and education projects in the Republic of Benin.
Since 2008, SFD has provided soft development loans to finance six development projects and programs with a value exceeding $145 million in the health, education, transportation, and energy sectors. Furthermore, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has allocated, through SFD, two grants to the Republic of Benin worth $8 million to support water security, provide water resources, and reduce the effects of drought under the Saudi Program for Digging Wells and Rural Development in Africa.
